ABOUT US
LÍTORE QUARTET
Lítore Quartet was founded in 2019 at the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears (CSMIB), under the guidance of professors Beatriz Tirado and Xabier Casal. Based in Mallorca, the quartet is composed of Jaime Estévez (soprano saxophone), Sira Pellicer (alto saxophone), Hugo Lomba (tenor saxophone), and Miquel Flores (baritone saxophone).
Lítore Quartet is a young saxophone quartet that explores diversity as a means of delivering a musical result that is both unique and captivating. Their main interests lie in two main areas: new musical creation and commitment to the concerns of today's society.
Beyond promoting and expanding the repertoire for saxophone quartet, one of their key goals as an ensemble is to grow through collaboration with contemporary composers. For this reason, they regularly commission new works for the formation.
The desire to captivate the audience and explore new artistic formats drives Lítore to develop projects rooted in innovative concepts that shape their artistic evolution. Each proposal reflects the group's values through a message that seeks to resonate with the needs and demands of our contemporary society.
